CHALLENGE OF A LIFE TIME

With the finishing line 3000 nautical miles away, it is the ultimate physical and mental test.
In December 2024, two childhood friends will board an ocean rowing boat and attempt to row unaided across the Atlantic Ocean to win the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge as a pair.
Claimed to be ‘The World’s Toughest Row’, the race will challenge and push every element of the mind, body and soul of team InvitRow as they endeavour to row from La Gomera, Canary Islands to Antigua in the Carribean.

The world record for the fastest pair was set in January 2021 by Marks Slats and Kai Wiedmer at 32 days, 22 hours and 13 minutes.
Our aim is to beat their time and win the Skye Trophy as the fastest pair. In order to do this we will need to row at an average speed of over 3.2 kts, taking it in turns at the oars; 2 hours on, 2 hours off!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

WHAT'S IT LIKE?...

Achieving our goal will require us both to row around the clock 24/7 to keep the boat shifting.

Combine this with battling the elements, sea sickness, sleep deprivation, packet food, a bucket for a toilet, salt sores, 20 ft waves, broken/lost equipment and cramped living conditions....

There will be some less than human bodies landing at Antigua!
